Brazil's "ChristianRA" Wins the Latest 888poker $100K Mystery Bounty Main Event
Table Of Contents
The latest edition of the $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event at 888poker is done and dusted, with Brazil's "ChristianRA" navigating their way through a 975-strong field and claiming $8,633 or the $100,000 prize pool.
A field of 975 meant a slight overlay on the $100,000 guarantee, not that the entrants cared by any overlay represents value for them. The largest mystery bounty payments were won on Day 1, which saw the field cut down to the final table of eight.
"enix929" of Lithuania pulled the $10,000 jackpot bounty before falling by the wayside in 31st place. They walked away with $10,565 in total, more than anyone else in the tournament, proving how profitable mystery bounty tournaments can be.
Four of the 888poker grinders who reached the final table bagged four-figure mystery bounty payments, guaranteeing them a bumper payday regardless of where they finished under the lights of the ever-popular 888poker Twitch Stream

Having sat down at the final table with only five big blinds in their stack, it was not surprising when "Black_Serg" was the first finalist heading to the showers, They allowed themselves to be blinded out and were all-in for less than an ante with ace-six of spades, and was looking on as a strange hand unfolded before then.
"icho90" limped in for 60,000 from under the gun with pocket aces from a 16.5 big blind stack, one player folded and "ob1wahn" went bounty hunting, raising to 390,000 with the lowly nine-six offsuit. Everyone folded except "icho90" who called. Both players checked the jack-seven-three flop and again when a nine arrived on the turn. Another nine improved "ob1wahn" to trip nines, and they thought all their Christmases had come at once when "icho90" led for 192,000. "ob1wahn" set "icho90" all in for the 423,304 chips they had behind, and they called it off with those second-best pocket aces. A double elimination to kick off the final table's action.
Sixth place went to "PokerFaceCPH" who got a little too frisky with top pair. "PokerFaceCPH" min-raised to 120,000 first in from the small blind before calling the 360,000 three-bet from "ChristianRA" from the big blind. "PokerfaceCPH" checked the nine-high, draw-heavy flop only to check-raise "CristinaRA"'s 252,450 bet to 631,125. The initial aggressor moved all-in, and "PokerFaceCPH" called off the last of their 782,614 stack. The all-in player held jack-nine but that was in a world of pain against pocket kings. Neither the turn nor river brought with them any drama, and the final table was down to five players.
Those five became four with the untimely demise of New Zealand's "nomannoel." They only had 6.5 big blinds at the start o their elimination hand, yet decided to call a button min-raise from the big blind with ten-seven of spades. "nomadneil" check-called a 70,000 bet on the queen-seven-three flop, leading to a ten on the turn, which also put a trio of diamond on the board. Amazingly, despite turning two pair and having a 0.5 pot-sized bet remaining, "nomadneil" checked. "ChristianRA" overbet the pot, and "nomadneil" finally committed their micro stack. A fourth diamond appeared on the river, improving "ChristianRA" to a flush, and reducing the player count by one.
Romania's "MicutuP.K.R." came unstuck in fourth in a cooler situation. They were down to only five big blinds when they looked down at ace-king of clubs under the gun and jammed all-in. They picked up a call in the shape of "ChristianRA," who had woken up with a pair of kings in the hole. The kings remained true, and the final table was down to only a trio of hopefuls after less than 40-minutes.
Three-handed play lasted less than 15 minutes, ending with the elimination of "FelKluivert," who a few hands early had correctly folded a set of aces on a draw-heavy run-out. Their final participation in this week's $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event saw them defend their big blind with king-three of clubs from a "ob1wahn" min-raise, only for them to flop a three. "FelKluivert" checked, "ob1wahn" led for 100,000 and snap-called when "FelKluivert" moved all-in for 792,953 in total. "ob1wahn" turned over pocket kings, which held to send the tournament into heads-up play.
"ob1wahn" held an 8,924,868 to 5,700,132 chip lead over "ChristianRA" at the start of heads-up but "ChristinaRA" quickly drew level. Neither played initially managed to gain the upperhand, until things started to go the way of "ChristianRA" who forged a sizeable lead for themselves.
The final hand occurred during the 60,000/120,000/15,000a level. "ob1wahn" limped with seven-five and called a 360,000 raise from "ChristianRA" made with king-ten. An all-diamond flop of jack-seven-five gave something to both players. "ChristianRA" led for 247,500 and was called. The ace of hearts was greeted with another bet from "ChristianRA," this time a chunkier one worth 410,850, which was again called. An offsuit queen completed the community cards, and improved "ChristianRA" to a Broadway straight. "ChristianRA" bet enough to set their opponent all-in, and "ob1wahn" called off their 1,384,519 stack with a costly two-pair.
