The Bernard Lee Poker Show 12-25: Timothy Su, Eighth in 2019 WSOP Main Event
In this episode of The Bernard Lee Poker Show on the PokerNews Podcast Network, Bernard Lee interviews 2019 World Series of Poker Main Event eighth-place finisher, Timothy Su.
Timothy describes how he got started in poker and how the 2019 WSOP Main Event was the first time he played in the ��Big One.�� He also discusses his other passions including StarCraft 2 and playing the oboe. Currently, he is a full-time software engineer and plays poker as a hobby.
During the second half of the interview, Timothy relives his incredible run including several crucial hands in the 2019 WSOP Main Event, especially on Day 5 when he ended up as the chip leader with 106 players remaining. Amazingly, he had over 7 million more chips than the player in the second-place position after Day 5 and was still in third place as Day 6 concluded.
Then, Timothy talks about reaching the Main Event final table, which resulted in his eighth-place finish for $1.25 million.
