Alex Kulev is a Bulgarian professional poker player living in Dublin, Ireland. Kulev specializes in multi-table tournaments and has won more than $7.7 million in the online poker world and more than $10 million in the live poker realm. Kulev is a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner.
Kulev mostly plays online under the alias "FutureofMe" or under his real name on some sites. The Bulgarian has never been part of a staking or coaching stable, instead improving his skills through practicing and by discussing hands with players who were better than him. These days, few such players exist.
Kulev has more than a dozen online cashes worth six figures. In November 2022, he banked $538,139 after taking down the $10,300 Super MILLION$ event at GGPoker. In March 2023, He collected a career-best online score of $807,38 for a third-place finish in another $10,300 Super MILLION$ event.
His live poker career started in 2018. Kulev mostly played low to mid-stakes events, and enjoyed some moderate success. In 2021, following some impressive online results, Kulev headed to the delayed WSOP in Las Vegas, cashing five times, including a runner-up finish in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em The Closer for $232,920, losing out to Leo Margets but scooping a career-best prize.
By 2022, Kulev was dipping his toes into higher stakes tournaments, including high roller events. Two runner-up finishes in 25,000 buy-in high rollers at the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague festival netted Kulev a combined 244,418.
Kulev captured his first seven-figure prize at the 2023 EPT Monte Carlo festival, taking down the 100,000 EPT Super High Roller for 1,036,287. A few months later, at the 2023 WSOP, Kulev finished fourth in the $250,000 Super High Roller for $1,632,005. Amazingly, Kulev took down the $50,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller event at the same series for his first gold bracelet and a career-best $2,087,073.
With more confidence than ever and with a bankroll bursting at the seams, Kulev is now a familiar face in high roller circles, including in the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series.
