Biography

Ben Yu is an American poker player and four-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner.

Poker Achievements

Yu first cashed at the WSOP in 2008, but would have to wait until 2015 before winning his first bracelet in Event #50: $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship for $291,456. This result established him as one of the best Limit Hold'em players around.

That year he also final-tabled the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic, finishing third for $607,433

A second bracelet followed two years later in a star-studded Event #34: $10,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Championship. The final table featured Shaun Deeb, Nick Schulman and Mike Matusow to name a few, but Yu came out on top to win $232,738.

In 2018, Yu fell just short of winning the $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller as Deeb got his revenge. Yu would have to settle for second place and $866,924 in prize money. During the 2018 WSOP, Yu achieved second, third and fourth-place finishes before finally grabbing a win in the $50,000 High Roller for $1,650,773.

A fourth bracelet came in 2021 in Event #56: $10,000 6-Handed NLH Championship and $721,453 in prize money, with Yu racking up over $5.4 million in cashes at the WSOP alone.
