Brent Hart is an American professional poker player hailing from Los Angeles, California. Hart is best known for winning the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 8-Handed event at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) for his first bracelet and a career-best $660,284.
Hart has live tournament cashes dating back to September 2010, mostly in low-stakes events in his native Los Angeles. In November 2012, Hart raked in $17,010, his first five-figure score, his reward for a runner-up finish in a $1,100 buy-in tournament.
In 2016, Hart cashed in his first WSOP event, reaching the money in the $888 No-Limit Hold'em Crazy Eights event. He continued grinding low-stakes tournaments up until 2020. Before the COVID-19 pandemic forced casinos around the world to close, Hart won a $1,100 buy-in event in Las Vegas for $43,595 and then banked $24,375 for a deep run in the $10,000 WPT L.a. Poker Classic.
Fast forward to February 2022, and Hart was the runner-up in the $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em UltimateStack at the Venetian for $166,462. This remained Hart's best result for two years until he triumphed in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em Event at the 2024 SOP, earning $660,284 and his first WSOP bracelet.
