Dara O'Kearney is an Irish poker player and former ultra-runner. He is a Unibet Poker ambassador and co-host of the Chip Race podcast.
He is also co-author of poker strategy books 'Poker Satellite Strategy' and 'PKO Satellite Strategy'
Biography
O'Kearney was born in 1965. Before embarking on a poker career, he was an international ultra runner. During his athletics career he won the 2005 Tresco Marathon, the 2007 Schinnen 50k, and was the 2007 Irish 24-hour Champion.

Poker Career
His first poker cash came in February 2008, winning the �1,500 European Deep Stack Poker Championship for �47,200. The majority of his early cashes came in small Irish poker tournaments, with brief trips to the EPT in Sanremo, Deauville and Vilamoura.
He bettered his very first cash in July 2011, coming second in the European Masters of Poker Main Event for �42,720.
In 2015, O'Kearney finished runner-up to Upeshka De Silva in Event #45: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em for $262,502. This marks the largest cash of his career.
