Francis Anderson is a poker player from New York, United States, best known for winningEvent #80: $800 Independence Day Celebration at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas for his first WSOP bracelet and $501,040 in prize money.
Anderson has recorded live poker tournament cashes dating back to March 2008. At the 2011 WSOP, Anderson cashed in the $10,000 Main Event, finishing 297th for $35,492. He also cashed in the 2016 WSOP Main Event, finishing 436th for $25,235.
The 2019 WSOP was the closest Anderson had come to winning a bracelet, finishing fourth in the $2,620 No-Limit Hold'em Marathon for a career-best $149,605. A few months later, he finished sixth in the $3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open event for $111,895.
Anderson cashed in the WSOP for the third time in 2021. At the 2022 WSOP, he finished third in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Monster Stack for a new career-high score worth $449,912.
