Maksim Pisarenko is a professional poker player hailing from Russia. He is best known for winning Event #45: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP).
Pisarenko's recorded live poker tournament results go back to 2015. Between 2015 and 2019, Pisarenko mostly played live events in his native Russia and Belarus, with a sprinkling of low-to-mid-stakes events on the European Poker Tour in Barcelona and Prague. He banked the equivalent of $183,533 for a third-place finish in the EPT Sochi Main Event in March 2019.
In 2019, Pisarenko registered his first WSOP cash before reaching the money in a pair of WSOP Europe events during the same year.
After the COVID-19 pandemic, Pisarenko headed to Las Vegas for the delayed 2021 WSOP. He cashed in three events, including a deep run (14th) in the $1,500 8-Game tournament. Several more mixed game cashes later, Pisarenko cashed nine times at the 2024 WSOP before winning the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship for his first gold bracelet and $399,988 in prize money.
