Nikolay Fal is a Russian professional poker player from Moscow, best known for winning Event #69: $1,500 Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas.
Fal is a prolific poker tournament grinder with over 240 in-the-money finishes between November 2012 and June 2024. Most of Fal's live poker results stem from events played in his native Russia or North Cyprus. His first six-figure prize weighed in at $230,000, his reward for taking down the $2,700 No-Limit Hold'em 8-Max event at the 2017 PartyPoker LIVE MILLIONS Sochi festival.
Fal beat that huge score when he won the $3,300 Merit Poker Western Main Event in January 2022 for $326,153.
Until 2024, Fal's deepest run in a WSOP event was an 18th place finish in the $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. event in 2017. However, he entered the $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better tournament at the 2024 WSOP and outlasted 610 opponents to get his hands on $153,730 and his first gold bracelet.
