Stephen Chidwick Poker History

Stephen Chidwick started his poker career playing online poker, mostly using the alias "Stevie444." Rumor has it that Chidwick built his bankroll from scratch, grinding freeroll tournaments during online poker's infancy. Chidwick's online winnings at PokerStars alone amount to almost $3.9 million, although his last recorded result there was in September 2020; Chidwick is a live grinder these days.

Chidwick burst onto the live poker scene in 2008, when he won a $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em event for $88,760 at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in The Bahamas. During his second visit to the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in 2011, Chidwick finished fourth in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em Championship for $198,927.

At the 2012 WSOP, Chidwick collected $253,497 for a sixth-place finish in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship; he also finished third in the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. at the same series. Chidwick came close to capturing a bracelet again in 2013, finishing fourth in the $25,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed event for $353,780.

Chidwick's meteoric rise to stardom continued, and in 2013, he finished third in the �5,300 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague Main Event for a new career-high prize worth �378,000 ($517,992).

Dozens upon dozens of five and six-figure cashes followed, and Chidwick became a regular in the High Roller and Super High Roller tournaments around the world. In March 2018, Chidwick clinched his first seven-figure score, returning home from the Super High Roller Bowl in Macau with the equivalent of $1,298,521.

In April 2018, Chidwick won �2.1 million in the space of two days. First, he finished second in the �101,000 partypoker MILLIONS Barcelona Grand Final Super High Roller for �1,100,000, and then finished third in the �10,300 Main Event at the same festival for an additional �1,000,000.

Going into the 2019 WSOP, Chidwick had the unwanted moniker of the best poker player without a bracelet. Having won another $2.9 million going into the WSOP, Chidwick took down the $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller for $1,618,417 and, more importantly, his first gold WSOP bracelet.

Less than two months later, Chidwick finished fourth in the ��1,050,000 buy-in Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Million for Charity event for a career-best ��4,410,000 ($5,368,947), which remains his largest prize to date.

Chidwick competes in the highest buy-in, most prestigious live tournaments worldwide and is always there are there about when the big money starts flowing.

Since 2013, Chidwick has not won less than $1,029,526 and as much as $13,528,992 in a calendar year.
