Toby Lewis is a British professional poker player, World Series of Poker bracelet winner and European Poker Tour (EPT) champion.
Like many poker pros, Lewis cut his teeth in the online poker world, where his "810ofclubs" alias terrorizes opponents. Although Lewis has his online tournament results blocked, PokerNews knows that they stand at several million dollars and that he was ranked as high as second in the world back in 2011.
Lewis began entering live poker tournaments in 2009, mostly in his native United Kingdom. His fifth recorded cash was a runner-up finish in the 2009 GUKPT Walsall Main Event for ��12,700, and was a sign of things to come from the Southampton-born grinder.
By 2010, Lewis had become a regular on the PokerStars European Poker Tour, and it did not take long for him to become an EPT champion. Lewis took down the EPT Vilamoura Main Event in August 2010 for �467,836, which remained his best haul for the next eight years.
In 2015, Lewis put together a deep run in the $10,000 WSOP Main Event, eventually falling in 53rd place for $137,300.
Dozens of final table appearances followed, including a fourth-place finish in the 2016 PokerStars PCA Main Event ($267,340), but another outright victory eluded him. That was until Lewis took down the 2018 Aussie Millions Main Event in Melbourne, a result that saw the Brit pad his bankroll with the equivalent of $1,178,513, a new career-high.
A month after his win "Down Under," Lewis was the runner-up in the $10,000 WPT L.A. Poker Classic for $600,630, losing out to Dennis Blieden heads-up.
Lewis finished second in the AU$25K Challenge and won the AU$50K Challenge at the 2019 Aussie Millions, pulling in more than US$1 million in the process.
He moved to the United States for a while, which is where he captured a WSOP Circuit ring in an online event at WSOP.com, and where a third-place finish in the $10,000 Wynn Millions earned him $1,235,204.
In 2023, Lewis cashed in two WSOP online events before running all the way to the final table in the record-breaking $10,000 WSOP Main Event. Lewis' busted in 7th place. This end to his 2023 Main Event journey that was worth $1,425,000, making it his biggest cash to date.
Later that year, Lewis took down an event in the WSOP Online US Domestic Series to win his first bracelet and $59,505.60.
