"I've been playing the big WCOOP and SCOOP tournaments ever since they existed," explains Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu.

In a new video, the all-time winningest live tournament player shares some online memories while also delivering advice to new players of the World Championship of Online Poker on PokerStars.

This year's WCOOP is already almost three weeks old, and there is still another 30-plus events left on the schedule in both "high" and "low" buy-in versions. Things are progressing towards a big climax this weekend with the big WCOOP Main Event $5,200 for the "high," just $215 for the "low," and with lots of satellites and other ways to get a seat at a lower price.

In the video below, Negreanu recalls his experience a year ago when he won the $2,100 H.O.R.S.E. event to capture his first WCOOP title. Negreanu outlasted a tough field including beating Viktor "Isildur1" Blom heads-up for the win.

As Negreanu explains, the mixed-game events are his favorites on the WCOOP schedule, offering players of all variants lots of choices.

He also talks about how players of lower limits can use events on the WCOOP schedule to help in their efforts to move up in stakes, perhaps practicing some shot-taking while also being smart about bankroll management and the amount they risk on buy-ins.

"If you play very, very conservatively [and with] a very big bankroll, you won't really move up," he points out, adding how when he was working his way up he'd occasionally risk a certain percentage of his bankroll (say, 10-20 percent) when taking shots at higher levels. Take a look:

For the entire remaining schedule of events, check the WCOOP home page which also contains information about satellites.

Those special edition Spin & Go's are also still running at PokerStars, $27 Spin & Go's giving away tickets to the $5,200 Main Event, and $109 Spin & Go's giving away tickets to the $25,000 High Roller coming up on Thursday, September 21.
