How to Organize a Home Game with Senior Floor Manager Luca Vivaldi
The European Poker Tour is gearing up for the start of Season 12, with the first stop in Barcelona just a little over two weeks away. This years EPT Barcelona series includes a huge 71-tournament schedule the second-biggest in the tours history.
This year an external marquee is being constructed at the Casino Barcelona to help accommodate nearly three dozen more tables than have been used in the past. The casinos opening hours are also being extended to be able to handle more cash games. In other words, they are already preparing extensively for what should be a busy couple of weeks in Spain.
Speaking of making plans for poker, Senior Floor Manager for PokerStars Events Luca Vivaldi sat down with PokerNews at the end of last season to talk about several different topics associated with hosting your own home poker game, be it a tournament or cash game.
The discussion was captured in a series of short videos, each of which contain a couple of specific ideas related to home games.
The first video below finds Vivaldi beginning to discuss various items needed and other considerations when hosting a poker tournament.
From there Vivaldi gets into specifics regarding tournament structures and other matters useful to know, covering the following topics:

- Part 3: Establishing a tournament structure (blinds/antes)
- Part 4: Establishing a tournament structure (levels)
- Part 5: Setting up payouts
- Part 6: Choosing Chips
