Rush for de Jong

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Over on the outer table, Cornelis de Jong was involved in a three-bet pot out of the big blind against Ricardo Pinto on the button. De Jong check-raised the {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} turn and led the {3-Spades} river for 135,000. Pinto used two time banks and sigh-called, but mucked when de Jong turned over {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

One hand later, a battle of the blinds emerged between de Jong and fellow 888pokeer qualifier Laszlo-Istvan Salamon. On the {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} turn, de Jong bet and Salamon called. De Jong bet the {5-Spades} river for 55,000 and he called the raise to 155,000 by Salamon, who turned over {j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. De Jong had that beat with the {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and scooped another pot.

Rossi Doubles Into the Lead

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Gabriele Rossi
Gabriele Rossi

Over on the outer table, Gabriele Rossi raised to 55,000 and Tom-Aksel Bedell three-bet to 155,000. Samuel Hernandez called in the big blind, as did Rossi. They headed to the {4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop and Hernandez pushed all in. Rossi immediately announced that he was all in as well and Bedell folded.

Gabriele Rossi: {a-Spades}{5-Spades}
Samuel Hernandez: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Rossi had flopped the wheel and Hernandez shook his head when he spotted the cards of his opponent. The {9-Hearts} turn locked up the double for Rossi, and the {10-Clubs} river was a formality, Rossi doubled for 1,070,000 and took over the lead with 16 players remaining.

Larsson Doubles Through Pons

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Over on the feature table, Kristian Larsson raised to 55,000 with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and he was called three ways including Fernando Pons in the big blind with {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}. The flop came {q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Pons check-shoved into a bet of 90,000 by Larsson, who called for the last 625,000.

The {q-Clubs} turn gave Larsson trips and Pons failed to avoid a major setback on a blank {10-Hearts} river.

Frederik De Linde Farrington Eliminated in 17th Place (4,700)

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Frederik De Linde Farrington
Frederik De Linde Farrington

After paying off a value bet by Samuel Hernandez, who had {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} on a board of {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Spades}, Frederik De Linde Farrington open-shoved the button for the last 225,000. Martin Jacobson asked for a count in the big blind and made the call.

Frederik De Linde Farrington: {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Martin Jacobson: {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop gave Jacobson trips nines and Farrington needed running cards for a straight. The {5-Diamonds} turn was a start, but the {4-Spades} river brought no miracle.
