Players who werent as fortunate included Dean Hutchison, Calogero Morreale, Michael Kane, and Michael Allen. Jack McDermott's day couldn't have begun any better as he busted Thomas Clack on the first hand with quads, but he couldn't continue that momentum and busted later in the day.

Day 1c attracted 125 entries, more than the first two starting flights combined, building the field up to 232. Just 57 have booked their tickets for Day 2, with a turbo Day 1d flight still in progress. There are currently 20 players remaining out of 34 entries in that flight with around an hour of play left.

Day 2 begins tomorrow at noon local time. Late registration remains open until the start of play, so there is a chance the field can grow even larger. The action picks up on Level 15 with blinds of 1,500-3,000 and a 3,000 big blind ante. Levels will be extended to 60 minutes beginning on Day 2.

PokerNews will be back tomorrow providing all the live updates as the race for the money and the final table begins.
