Jerome Dyer raised to 3,000 from middle position and it folded around to Tony Hachem in the small blind. Hachem asked Dyer how much he had left and Dyer responded with the amount;16,000. Hachem moved all in and Dyer quickly made the call holding pocket queens. Hachem held a much smaller pair pocket; threes.

The flop was dry for Hachem and Dyer's queens held the lead. The turn nailed Hachem with a three, giving him the lead in the hand. Dyer needed to catch one of the remaining two queens on the river for a better set, but was unable to do so, eliminating him from the event.

"I got lucky," said Tony.

"That's what Hachems do," responded someone at Tony's table.
