Grigg Makes Huge Call Against Lunardi
An interesting and very lengthy hand has just played out over on Table 29. It all started when James Bills opened the pot to 16,000 preflop. Tom Grigg called in the hi-jack seat and Kristian Lunardi called in the cut-off seat.
On the flop, Bills checked and Grigg led for 20,500. Lunardi made the call and Bills got out of the way. The turn would see Grigg check and then call a bet of 47,000 from Lunardi. On the river, Grigg again checked and Lunardi bet 80,000. This is when Grigg went into the tank. Deep into the tank.
Lunardi stared at the felt, while Grigg stared straight at Lunardi. Time ticked on and Grigg kept staring. Eventually Grigg asked the floor if he could say what he had. He was told he couldn't, all the while staring at Lunardi. Eventually Grigg opted to make the cal, prompting Lunardi to turn over for ace-jack high. Grigg immediately tabled his , good for ace-queen high and good enough to scoop up the big pot.
