Cards will be back in the air for the survivors at 2:00 p.m. local time and all will all be looking for their good fortune to continue as they make a deep run in the first PokerNews live-reported tournament of the festival.
The current chip leader is Hogyun Kang with 418,500, who made it through last night as the chip leader of Day 1b. Canada's Edgar Kim (390,500) sits second in the pecking order after bagging up the second-largest Day 1b stack and then there is clear water behind him to Day 1a chip leader Alex Lee with 329,500. Behind them come Hsien Yuan Yang (312,500), Gab Yong Kim (305,000) and Joven Huerto (300,500) who are the only other players over 300,000 in chips.
Several notables still in the field include Rex Clinkscales (107,000), Victor Chong (102,000), and Pete Chen (48,000).
The payouts have been confirmed overnight, with 81 places behind paid and the winner walking away with over ?4,000,000.
