Day 1 Completed

Congratulations to Andrew Hinrichsen, 2010 Aussie Millions Event 2 Champion (AUD $12,825)

Congratulations to Andrew Hinrichsen on a well deserved title. Hinrichsen had to overcome a field of 90 players, who's combined talent level far exceeded the meagre $550 buy-in.

Some big names came to the felt including 2009 Aussie Millions champion Stewart Scott, 2009 APPT Sydney Champion Aaron Benton, David Steicke, Gary Benson, Andrew Jeffreys, Michael Guzzardi and many many more.

In the end a combination of good timing, aggressive play, and a tiny bit of luck shipped the victory to Hinrichsen.

Congratulations to all who cashed, and thanks for joining us. Be sure to join us tomorrow from 12:30pm local time for more Aussie Millions action.

Paul Schenbri Eliminated in 2nd Place ($8,550 AUD)

Preflop, Andrew Hinrichsen limped in and Paul Schenbri made it 135,000 to go. Hinrichsen came straight back over the top all-in covering Schenbri, and Schenbri made the call.'

"Aces" said Hinrichsen, not what Schenbri wanted to hear with his {A-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

The {6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop gave Schenbri some hope, but that faded as the board completed {8-Clubs} turn and {k-Spades} river to add more silverwear to what has already been a good run for Hinrichsen.

Not take away from the achievement of Schenbri's second, but it was a dominant performance from the champion who never looked like losing when it go three-handed.

So Much Action

There is plenty of action around this final table but it's just across the walkway at the Baccarat table. The spectators that were following our fearless three have since turned their attention elsewhere. The three players at the final table trudge on as the blinds are going up.

Chris Brammer Eliminated in 4th Place ($4,500 AUD)

Andrew Hinrichsen made a standard opening raise to 45,000 and Chris Brammer moved all in covering Hinrichsen. Hinrichsen called Brammer's shove and tabled {A-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Brammer showed {6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

Board: {3-Clubs}{q-Spades}{2-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

And Hinrichsen moved up to 555,000 in chips and Brammer fell to 180,000.

Not long after Brammer shipped his remaining chips into the middle again tangling with Hinrichsen who called and said "I have sevens."

Hinrichsen: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Brammer: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}

No help to Brammer on the {2-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades} board and he was sent to the rail. Hinrichsen now has 735,000.

Brammer Loses One and Then Wins One

In the cut off, Chris Brammer made it 35,000. Shannon Vandenberg then made it 75,000 and to that Brammer said "all-in." Vandenberg called for less and we were on to the flop.

Brammer: {J-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Vandenberd: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Flop: {a-Spades}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The {8-Diamonds} fell on the turn and {5-Diamonds} on the river cutting a huge chunk out of Brammer's stack.

One hand later the two were at it again but this time Brammer got the best of it when he shoved with {k-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Vandenberg called with {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Brammer spiked the card he needed on the {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop and the {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} turn and river were good to him as well.

Brammer is sitting with 480,000 and Vandenberg has 700,000.
