Huntly Clocked!
Dennis Huntly is down to just 7,000 in chips after losing a big pot to Daniel Neilson.
We arrived at the table with a rather sizeable pot formed and the last of Neilson's stack in the middle while Huntly was agonizing over a decision. It must have been for quite a while, because the player to the right of the dealer called for a clock.
"You called for the clock?" Huntly said. "All right, I guess we can all wait then."
The tournament supervisor advised Huntly he had 60 seconds to act. "Hey Daniel, you wanna get a drink while we wait?" Huntly asked Neilson.
"Sure, if we can get a waitress in time," Neilson replied. The tournament supervisor advised Huntly he had 10 seconds to act, counted down from five and after the hand was ruled dead, Huntly flashed before dropping his hand into the muck.
"I think you saved me there, mate," Huntly said to the player who called time on him. "If you hadn't called the clock on me I would have been out of the tournament and at the bar!"
While Huntly isn't out, we can confirm that both Frederik Jensen and Roy Vandersluis have just been eliminated from the feature table. Karib Karib has now been moved to Jensen's seat.
