After having won a little pot by three-betting Niklas Heinecker, Igor Kurganov just doubled up Erik Seidel again. Seidel raised from the button to 20,000 and Kurganov three-bet all in putting his opponent under pressure. Seidel called and the two players went to showdown yet again.
Fabian Quoss was all in from the cutoff seat for 70,000. Niklas Heinecker reraised all in from the button to 214,000. Igor Kurganov tanked for a couple minutes from the small blind, then folded. Philipp Gruissem asked Erik Seidel to help him sweat from the big blind, and Seidel did so.
The first card Gruissem looked at was a king, and then he said, "Ah man, I hope the second one's not a queen." The second one was a five, and Gruissem quickly folded.
Heinecker tabled the to be up agaisnt Quoss' . The board ran out , and Quoss was eliminated in fifth place. He earned AU$51,000 for his finish.
With the Aussie Millions Main Event now complete, the production set is open and available. The TV crew has suggested moving this event upstairs to Aussie Millions HQ to film the final stages of the event, but that's still up in the air.
As it stands right now, the tournament will be moved upstairs at 7:00 p.m. at the latest, unless the players decide to move up there earlier. We will keep you posted.
