Big Pot to the Last Aussie

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Brian Rast raised from the cutoff to what appeared to be 225,000. Action folded to Manny Stavropoulos in the big blind, and the last Australian in the field made the call to see the {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop, which both players checked. The {6-Clubs} turn saw Stavropoulos check-call a bet of 230,000, and then he checked for a third time on the {8-Diamonds} turn.

Rast slid out a bet of 540,000 and Stavropoulos snap-called. Rast hesitantly showed the {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for two pair, but it was no good as Stavropoulos held trips with the {6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

Anthony Legg Eliminated in 6th Place (AU$235,000)

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Anthony Legg - 6th Place
Anthony Legg - 6th Place

Anthony Legg couldn't wait too long to make a move and he did so from under the gun for his last 575,000. Joel Douaglin, who did the damage to Legg's stack before, was the only caller from the next seat.

Legg: {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Douaglin: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

The board ran {3-Clubs}{j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs} to make Douaglin a flush after flopping trips.

The local lad, who's a welder by profession, took home AU$235,000 for a week's work.

Douaglis Bets Tiny on the River

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Action folded to Joel Douaglin in the small blind and he raised to 350,000. Lennart called from the big, both players checked the {4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop, and the dealer burned and turned the {A-Diamonds}. Douaglis led out for 425,000, Uphoff called, and the {8-Spades} completed the board on the river.

Douaglis bet a tiny 150,000, and Uphoff made a quick call. Douaglis showed the {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for not much of anything, and then Uphoff tabled the {a-Clubs}{9-Spades} to win the pot.

Chip Leader Staying Active

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

One would expect a chips leader to be active with competitor stacks the way they are and Lennart Uphoff is doing just that.

He took a pot off Brian Rast after he three-bet the American's 205,000 under-the-gun open up to 490,000 from the small blind. Rast called but folded to a 375,000 bet on a {6-Hearts}{j-Spades}{6-Spades} flop.

Soon after, Uphoff raised and Manny Stavropoulos called in position en route to a {q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Spades} flop. Uphoff continued for 225,000 and Stavropoulos called to the {j-Diamonds} turn where he took the pot off the German by betting 350,000 when checked to.

Douaglin vs. Legg in a Big All-In Flip

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Joel Douaglin
Joel Douaglin

Anthony Legg opened for 225,000 from the cutoff and was met by a three-bet to 625,000 by Joel Douaglin on the button. The blinds both folded and Legg four-bet jammed. Douaglin, who had 1.495 total, thought for about 30 seconds before calling off.

Legg: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Douaglin: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

It was a big flip, and Douaglin was clearly happy when the flop came down {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}.

"Yes. Yes. Yes," Douaglin said as he clapped his hands together. Meanwhile, Legg stood silently and watched helplessly as the {8-Hearts} was put out on the turn followed by the {6-Spades} on the river. Ship the double to Douaglin.

Walking Sticks for Legg

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Anthony Legg raised to 225,000 from the button and Lennart Uphoff defended from the big blind. Uphoff then check-called a bet of 200,000 on the {9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop before both players checked the {6-Diamonds} turn. When the {K-Hearts} completed the board on the river, action repeated itself and Legg tabled the {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}. It was good as Uphoff sent his hand to the muck.

Manny Straight to Work

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

James Rann waited until Manny Stavropoulos had made a straight before he took a stab at the pot post flop.

Rann raised to 250,000 from under the gun and action folded around to Stavropoulos in the big blind who called. The board ran out {j-}{q-}{8-}{a-Clubs}{k-} and Stavropoulos checked all the way to the river where Rann bet 230,000 with pocket sixes. The local man called with {k-}{10-} for a straight.

Note: There's been a power out in the press room so getting all required information is tricky. It's assumed that there was a potential flush on board and that's why Stavropoulos just called on the river.
