The turn was a and this time it checked to Lew who bet 20,000 and Meritan was the only caller.
The river was the and Meritan checked. Lew tanked for a little bit before betting 54,000.
"It looked like he was pretending that he was huge when he was not huge" Meritan told us. "I felt like I had the best hand."
Meritan had 70,000 left so he was calling for a large percentage of his remaining chips. In the end he did so with and Lew turned over
.
"It's a very gutsy play," said Meritan. "I knew he was good enough to do it. If it was an amateur I don't call. It was definitely 'nanonoko fame'-dependent."
