Vincent Wan raised the {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Nino Ullmann defended the {q-Spades}{3-Spades}. The {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop was checked and Ullmann overbet the {6-Hearts} turn for 800,000 into a pot of 680,000.

Wan gave it some thought and folded, Ullmann showed him the trey and the remaining players then headed into a 60-minute dinner break. Below are the updated counts and big blinds for the next level.

Ullmann Flops a Straight

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Gareth Pepper opened to 275,000 with the {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} on the button and Vincent Wan came along out of the small blind with {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. The {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop went check, check, and the {k-Spades} turn improved Wan to top pair. Again no betting action took place, which led to the {10-Clubs} on the river.

Wan bet 300,000 and Pepper folded instantly.

Nino Ullmann raised to 240,000 with {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and got Vincent Wan as well as Erik Seidel to fold an ace-rag, Ngoc Tai Hoang called with the {j-Clubs}{8-Spades} in the big blind. The {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop gave Ullmann the straight and Hoang checked, then called a bet of 220,000.

After the {k-Clubs} turn, Hoang checked and a bet of 750,000 by Ullmann shut down all further action.

Pepper Jams Into Hoang and Ullmann

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Vincent Wan raised to 250,000 with the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and Gareth Pepper came along with the {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} in the big blind. Neither player connected with the {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs} and the {k-Diamonds} followed on the turn. Pepper checked and folded to a bet of Wan.

Ngoc Tai Hoang raised it up to 250,000 with the {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} on the button, which prompted a three-bet to 725,000 by Nino Ullmann. Pepper in the big blind had the {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} and four-bet jammed after some consideration, Hoang and Ullmann quickly folded.

Hoang Doubles Through Wan

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Nino Ullmann raised it up with the {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Vincent Wan came along out of the big blind with {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}. The {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop was checked and so was the {q-Diamonds} turn, as both players had a pair.

Wan bet the {8-Diamonds} river for 250,000 and Ullmann made the call to lose yet another pot to Wan.

One hand later, Ngoc Tai Hoang jammed from under the gun for 1,895,000 and Wan asked for a count in the small blind, then called.

Ngoc Tai Hoang: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Vincent Wan: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop gave Hoang top pair, the {4-Spades} turn and {5-Clubs} river kept Hoang in contention.

Ullmann and Wan Tangle Again

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Vincent Wan opened to 250,000 with the {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and Nino Ullmann defended {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} out of the big blind. On a {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop, Ullmann had a pair and flushdraw while Wan held a gutshot.

Once both opted to check, the {j-Clubs} followed on the turn and Ullmann checked once more. Wan now bet 200,000 and Ullmann raised it up to 780,000. Within a few seconds, Wan tossed in calling chips and the duo headed to the {a-Clubs} on the river.

Ullmann checked after some consideration and Wan instantly checked back to win the pot, letting out a "come on" towards his rail.

Ullmann Rises Again

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Gareth Pepper limped the small blind with the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and Vincent Wan raised to 370,000 with the {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. Pepper checked the stack of his table neighbor and raised it up to force a fold from Wan.

Nino Ullmann then raised to 240,000 with the {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and Wan in the small blind glanced at the {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. He gave it some consideration and called, as did Erik Seidel in the big blind without his cards showing yet.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Wan checked, Seidel bet 300,000 and Ullmann was the only caller to see the {j-Diamonds} on the turn. Seidel now checked to Ullmann, who made it 800,000 to go. Seidel folded to what was revealed as {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Ullmann pulled ahead of him in the counts.
