On Saturday night, the 2020 Borgata Winter Poker Open completed Event #4: $400 Saturday Series and it was none other than Men "The Master" Nguyen besting the 741-entry field, taking home the trophy, along with a $50,000 first-place prize.

Nguyen is one of the most known poker players to ever hit the felt, boasting over $11 million in live career earnings with seven WSOP bracelets. This is just a drop in the bucket as far as money goes but he did acquire a new feat, taking home a prestigious Borgata trophy to put on his mantle.

A long day of play saw just three remain at the early hours of the day as Nguyen, Eric Valerio and Alex Lunenberg battled it out for a level before taking a break to discuss an adjusted payout deal. The three agreed on a deal and Nguyen brought in the largest chunk for himself, taking $50,000. Luxenberg took $33,000 for his efforts and Valerio pulled in $30,077 for his part of the deal.

Alex Luxenberg opened to 275,000 from the button and Men Nguyen defended his big to see the {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop. Both players checked through to the {6-Hearts} turn card and Nguyen tapped the table once more to Luxenberg who bet 475,000.

Nguyen called and the {7-Clubs} completed the board. Both checked, Nguyen tabled {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, giving him a pair of fours and it was good as Luxenberg mucked his hand, sending the pot to Nguyen.

Pearce-Christian Arnold moved all in for around 1,200,000 and Men Nguyen called, putting Arnold at risk of elimination.

Pearce-Christian Arnold: {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Men Nguyen: {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The flop came down {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Arnold needed to hit or his day would be coming to an end. An {a-Diamonds} peeled off on the turn, leaving him with one more chance for romance but the {5-Diamonds} was not it as Nguyen pulled in the pot, eliminating another player from the tournament.
