Two-Time Seniors Champ

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante
Howard Schuman
Howard Schuman

Howard Schuman is an early bird in today's Seniors event and he's got the skills to go all the way. He's won two previous Borgata Open Seniors tournaments (2018 BWPO for $10,938 & 2018 BPO for $3,730). He's also got three other final table appearances in this event, finishing second, fourth, and fifth, plus many more deep runs and cashes.

The true test will be seeing who is still here about 12 hours from now, when this event should be coming close to a conclusion.

Light Turnout So Far for Seniors

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante
Seniors
Seniors

The Seniors are only using ten tables so far here in the rear of the Event Center, but things will pick up as we get closer to 'normal' starting time for poker players.

The numbers will also increase as we get some re-entries following bust-outs.

For the most part, this crowd is fairly quiet at this early hour, as they get cards in the air.

Seniors Off and Running (well, mostly Walking, but Lots of Sitting) at 10 AM!

Barry Leventhal - 1st Place - 2019 BWPO Seniors
Barry Leventhal - 1st Place - 2019 BWPO Seniors

The Seniors will be in action early here in the Event Center at the very un-poker-like starting time of 10am EST. Event $7: $340 Seniors (50+) NLH starts players with 20,000 chips and levels 1-15 are 30 minutes long. Levels 16+ go up to 40 minutes for the rest of the tournament. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are possible until the start of Level 9 (about 2:30 p.m.).

Last year, this event drew 145 entrants for a prize pool of more than $42,000. Borgata regulars Barry Leventhal and Eric Siegel battled heads-up, but the trophy and $12,447 went to Leventhal shortly after 2am. That was his fourth Borgata Seniors Event win and eighth overall Borgata title.

This is a one-day event and play will continue until another Winter Poker Open trophy has a new home!
