Abrams Sets Up on the River
Three players took a flop of and Paul Snead (bb) checked to Larry Abrams (utg), who bet 90,000. Bin Weng (cutoff) folded and Snead called.
The turn brought the and Snead checked again. Abrams fired 200,000 and again got the call.
River was the and Snead checked for the third time. Abrams put out a bet of 450,000, but apparently made a motion with his hand first that Snead didn't care for. "That was a bullsh*t pump-fake," said Snead, believing Abrams was going to check before he made the river bet.
After the discussion was settled and the table and dealer agreed Abrams' hand moved, but never touched the felt, the bet stood and Snead called to see the bad news. Abrams tabled for the rivered set and Snead mucked his hand.
(Weng complimented Abrams on his flop bet, saying he folded pocket eights, which may have been the best hand at that point.)
