Kongsgaard Gets Revenge Against Komissarov
Jan Christian Kongsgaard was low on chips after what he shared was getting hit with a one outer by Anton Komissarov when his opponent hit a nine of the river with pocket nines and Kongsgaard also having a nine in his hand. Revenge was just served as Kongsgaard was able to win round two against Komissarov.
Komissarov opened from the cutoff to 600 and got a call from Kongsgaard in the big blind.
Kongsgaard check-raised a bet from 500 to 1,700 after the came on the flop and got a call from Komissarov.
"Nines again?" asked Kongsgaard referring to the hand where his opponent took a bunch of his chips.
Kongsgaard led out for 3,750 after the came on the turn and got a quick call from his opponent.
The completed the board on the river and the dealer initially thought Kongsgaard checked since he was shuffling some chips close to the table.
"No, no, I will bet," said Kongsgaard before he fired out for 7,225 leaving a single blue 5,000 chip behind.
"I want to give you some of your chips back," said Komissarov before he made the call.
Kongsgaard had for flopped trips and scooped the pot after Komissarov turned over for two pair.
"I had to play that hand to get revenge," said Kongsgaard to the table and to Coolbet Open's Thomas Pasgaard Hviid who caught the tail end of the hand from the rail.
