Hedlund Nails a Boat
Peter Mikael Hedlund limped from early position before he called a bet of 6,100 from Linda Minh Nguyen from late position.
Both players checked the flop. Hedlund led out for 1,500 after the came on the turn before Nguyen raised to 15,000.
After a minute Hedlund said he was all-in. Nguyen asked the dealer how much and Hedlund splashed all his chips in front of him.
"You are giving the dealer an easy job," Jens Henrik Riis, who was at the table, said to Hedlund.
Hedlund apologized and a couple of minutes later the dealer confirmed the jam was for 41,500.
Nguyen went into the tank for about five minutes before she made the call. Hedlund turned over and Nguyen attempted to muck the cards knowing she was drawing dead to a full house.
The came on the river and the dealer sent Hedlund the pot. After the hand, one of the players asked to see Hedlund's cards.
The dealer remembered that it was an all-in showdown situation and turned over that Nguyen held . Hedlund and Riis questioned why Nguyen had to show her cards but they understood after the explanation.
