Get In Touch with Your Intellectual Side

Barcelona is one of the premier destinations along the EPT's tournament trail. Earlier we showcased a video for you about some of the more famous sites to see while in the city. After you're done using up all of your film at those sites, you might want to check out a few of the museums. Melissa stopped in a couple of the museums to give us a quick taste of what's to offer. One features Picasso and the other has a more scandalous taste an erotic museum.

Goodwin Gets Some Back

Marc Goodwin raised to 250,000 and small blind Santiago Terrazas thought about it -- but he folded, and once Carter Phillips had folded his big blind too, Goodwin took it down.

Phillips Increases Lead

It was guest-pro commentator Noah Boeken's last hand and as soon as he mentioned this would be the last hand he watched, the action picked up.

Marc Goodwin opened with a raise to 225,000 from under the gun and Carter Phillips made the call from the big blind.

The flop came down {K-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {2-Diamonds}. Phillips checked to the preflop raiser. Goodwin fired 225,000. Phillips made the call.

The turn brought the {7-Hearts} and Phillips checked again. Goodwin stayed aggressive and fired 600,000. Phillips made the call, swelling the pot to 2.16 million.

The river fell the {J-Hearts} and Phillips checked. Goodwin quickly checked behind. Phillips rolled over {J-?} {8-?} and Goodwin sat there in disbelief. "You called 600K on the turn knowing you were behind and then didn't bet when you hit the river!" Goodwin exclaimed, disgustedly tossing his hand into the muck. Phillips copped a little smile as he was pushed the pot.

Phillips is up to 8.31 million now.

Manole Forces Terrazas Off The Hand

Manole raises to 225,000 and Satiago Terrazas calls. On a flop of {9-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {2-Diamonds}, Manole check-raises Terrazas 230,000 bet all-in for 1,025,000.

The Spaniard doesn't instantly call, but he doesn't instantly fold either but takes about two or three minutes to give it up.

Side Event Action

There was some pretty big commotion going on at one of the outer tables during the break. Jason Mercier and Eric "basebaldy" Baldwin are sweating their friend and professional poker player Justin Young. Young is at the final table of the 1,100 NLHE side event.

A total of 144 players entered the event and there are six remaining, with first place winning nearly 50,000. Carter Phillips was also over there watching during the last break and checking in on the action before giving a quick interview with PokerNews.nl.
