Not Outkicked Pre but Kicked Out Post

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Max Heinzelmann
Max Heinzelmann

Andreas Doletzki hit but not hard enough with his {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}, leading for 75,000 on a {K-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop and then calling when Maximilian Heinzelmann set him in for the 150,000 or so he had remaining. He saw Heinzelmann with {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, missed his draws on the {3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} turn and river and stood up to go with a smile and a handshake for George Danzer.*

*Apparently everyone busting shakes Danzer's hand. Jan Heitmann told me that he's instantly everyone's friend on the table, so damn likeable that they feel bad when they win his chips.

Short of the Lundmark

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Kent Lundmark
Kent Lundmark

Kent Lundmark is down to just 85,000, well into the danger zone, after doubling up Hugo Lemaire.

Lundmark: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Lemaire: {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Board: {3-Spades}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

Lemaire didn't react at all as the ace dropped on the flop to double him to 450,000. We were standing behind Lundmark so we couldn't see his expression, but we can report that he visibly crumpled.

Take a Bow, Morgenstern

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Anton Morgenstern has jumped up over 1,300,000 after a huge preflop confrontation went his way. His stack dominates the others' at his table, and when he four-bet shoved the button it was with the knowledge that the initial raiser and re-raiser Felix Schulze would be calling for their tournament life. Schulze took several minutes to think about the 50,500 he'd bet already and his 330,000 stack. He called.

Schulze: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Morgenstern: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

This huge race could change either one of their tournaments, and it came down on the side of Morgenstern (the board {2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}). Schulze headed to the rail.

I Wish It Would Rainer Down On Me

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Another flurry of action as all the chips went in preflop between Rainer Emde's {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} and Jonas Gutteck's {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} in a Germany vs Germany battle.

The flop came {3-Spades}{k-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Gutteck improved to a pair, now just needing a king or running cards to overcome Emde's aces. The {5-Hearts} turn brought the possibility of a chop but the river was the {k-Hearts} to some serious groans.

"My first ever massive suckout at an EPT!" said an overjoyed Gutteck. He's up to 300,000 while Emde drops to just 60,000.

Joepstart
