Erlend Melsom Eliminated in 6th Place (45,000)
Erlend Melsom has just been eliminated in sixth place after cruelly losing with ace-king against Jani Sointula's dominated ace-queen.
Melsom opened to 50,000 from under the gun and the action folded around to Sointula in the big blind. Sointula asked how many chips his opponent hand and when he was told around 400,000 he moved all in. Melsom snap-called and the cards were shown down.

The flop was very safe for Melsom and the was ever safer. The tournament director, who was announcing the action to the crowd on the rail, informed everyone that only a queen would save Sointula and low and behold the river was the sending Melsom to the rail in sixth place.
What a result this is for Stuart Fox, who down to just 50,000 chips has moved up on spot in the payouts and is guaranteed an extra 10,000!
