Abdellatif Getting Busy

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Just now we saw Belgian player Jonathan Abdellatif bet 5,300 on a {5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{K-Hearts} board. EPT season 8 Player of the Year Ondrej "Vinkyy" Vinklarek had checked to him and called the bet. The river was the {A-Hearts} and Vinklarek checked again. Abdellatif thought about it for a second and eventually checked behind. The Belgian player showed {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a turned flush which wasn't all that much worth anymore after the fourth heart had hit the river. The hand was still good though, Vinklarek mucked.

In the next hand, Dortmund Masters Finale Winner (presented by the EPT) Robert Auer raised to 1,800 from the hijack. Abdellatif made the call from the cutoff and Patrick Sacrispeyre came along from the big blind. {A-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs} on the flop and Sacrispeyre checked to Auer. The German player made a 2,800 continuation bet and Abdellatif instantly called. Sacrispeyre shoved all in for 17,500 and Auer immediately folded. Abdellatif called but his {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs} was behind against Sacrispeyre's {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

"The river is always a ten" said Abdellatif, but that would not turn out to be a correct prophecy. The {Q-Hearts} brought some additional outs for Abdellatif but the {J-Clubs} on the river wasn't one of them.

Abdellatif is still up for the day though, he keeps busy.
