Berglund Eliminates Jacobson

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Lukas Berglund
Lukas Berglund

Lukas Berglund was just seen with a giant tower of blue 5,000 chips in front of him. When we studied the situation it turned out he wasn't really betting over 150,000, he was rather putting Martin Jacobson all in.

The board read {K-Spades}{3-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{3-Spades} at the time and the decision was on Jacobson. Jacobson had still quite some chips left, but had to risk 'em all if he wanted to find out if Berglund had what he was representing he had. Berglund later told us that he had raised it up pre flop and received multiple callers. After continuation betting the flop, just Jacobson sticked around. Berglund was now firing the second bullet against his countryman, a big one at that.

Jacobson ultimately reluctantly called. He left his shoulder hanging as soon as Berglund tabled his {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} for top pair and top kicker. Jacobson had {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} himself and needed a queen or trey to stay alive. The {10-Spades} wasn't the card Jacobson was looking for, and the two time EPT Main Event runner-up headed to the exit.
