Urbanovich Falls

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Dzmitry Urbanovich
Dzmitry Urbanovich

Dzmitry Urbanovich moved all in from middle position for 228,000. Mike Watson made the call from the hijack seat, and everyone else folded, although Vladimir Troyanovskiy did tank a little bit from the button. Urbanovich tabled the {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}, and Watson had the {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}.

Urbanovich picked up a straight draw on the {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop, but the {4-Clubs} turn and {Q-Spades} river couldn't give him what he needed to win the hand, and he was eliminated.

Watson moved to 2.33 million in chips.

Huge Pot Sees Luca Doubles Through Urbanovich

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
Ivan Luca
Ivan Luca

Dzmitry Urbanovich raised from the cutoff to 66,000. In the small blind, Ivan Luca three-bet to 163,000. Vladimir Troyanovskiy quickly folded from the big blind, and then Urbanovich tanked for a bit before he four-bet to 291,000. Then, Luca announced all in, Urbanovich double checked his cards, and called.

Ivan Luca: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Dzmitry Urbanovich: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

The flop came {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Urbanovich was well in front. The {J-Spades} on the turn changed things around, though, and suddenly Urbanovich was trailing. The river {9-Spades} was a blank, and Urbanovich moved 1.1 million over to the other side of the table. He was left with a little over 200,000.

Astapau Folds River To Holz

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

After an under-the-gun opening raise to 65,000 came from Fedor Holz, play folded to Anton Astapau in the small blind. He reraised to 195,000, and Holz called. The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, and both players checked to see the {10-Spades} land on the turn. Again, both players checked.

The river was the {7-Clubs}, and Astapau checked. Holz fired 180,000, and Astapau tank-folded.

Run Like Urbanovich

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Mustapha Kanit limped in from the small blind and Dzmitry Urbanovich checked from the big blind. Not much action on the {Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop either, both players checked.

The {Q-Diamonds} hit the turn and Kanit bet 30,000. Urbanovich raised it up to 81,000 and Kanit made the call.

The {K-Hearts} completed the board and Kanit checked. Urbanovich bet 112,000 and Kanit reluctantly called.

Urbanovich showed {K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for a rivered pair of kings, Kanit mucked.

Lo Knocks Out Mo

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
Rono Lo
Rono Lo

Jason Mo shoved all in from the under the gun position, for what we think was 240,000. Action folded to Fedor Holz on the button and he announced all in as well. Rono Lo in the small blind peeked at his cards, and shouted "Call!"

Martin Finger in the big blind looked down on {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}, open folded, and patted himself literally on the back for making a big laydown.

Mo knew how late it was; "I might have the third best hand here."

Jason Mo: {A-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Fedor Holz: {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Rono Lo: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and Lo knocked out Mo and received a double through Holz.

Big Double for Fedor

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} board, Anton Astapau checked to his opponent, Fedor Holz. Holz bet 149,000 and left himself with 642,000 behind before Astapau check-raised all in, having Holz covered. After a bit of tanking, Holz finally made the call.

Astapau turned over the {Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, and that's exactly what Holz was worried about with his {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}. The river paired the board when the {10-Diamonds} hit, though, and Holz won the pot to score a big double up.

Seiver Doubles

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Scott Seiver shoved all in for 250,000 exactly in early positions. Ivan Luca in the hijack flat called, all other players folded.

Ivan Luca: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Scott Seiver: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {4-Spades}{9-Spades}{10-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Seiver doubled.

Not much later, Seiver won another small pot where he defended his big blind and rivered two pair with five six.
