O'Dwyer Doubles Bonomo

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Steve O'Dwyer was first to act and raised to 7,000. His neighbor in the cutoff on the short-handed table was Timothy Adams and he called. The button and small blind folded before big blind Justin Bonomo squeezed all in for 72,000. O'Dwyer shoved over the top and Adams folded.

Steve O'Dwyer: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Justin Bonomo: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Bonomo doubled.

O'Dwyer Doubles Reichax

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Steve O'Dwyer raised to 7,000 from the cutoff and small blind Sergi Reichax shoved for 62,500. O'Dwyer tanked for a bit before calling, and got the bad news right away as Sergi Reichax turned over {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. O'Dwyer tabled {K-Spades}{10-Spades} and failed to win or chop on {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}.

Three Players Eliminated

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Isaac Haxton - eliminated
Isaac Haxton - eliminated

We were just absent from the tournament floor for a couple of minutes to write an update, but when we came back there were three players missing.

Isaac Haxton had shoved his last 26,000 under the gun with {A-}{J-}. His neighbor Jack Salter called with {Q-}{Q-} and that hand held up to eliminate Haxton.

One table over Adrian Mateos told us that he had taken most of Justin Bonomo's chips. Mateos had opened the button and Bonomo had defended his big blind. Both checked {J-}{8-}{5-} with two spades and a heart and the {Q-Spades} hit the turn. Bonomo bet 16,000 and Mateos called. The river was a {Q-} and Bonomo bet 46,000 with 1,000 behind. Mateos shoved and Bonomo folded. His last 1,000 he lost not much later.

Pablo Fernandez also hit the rail, though we're unsure what had happened to him. Charlie Carrel seemed to have his chips but was in a conversation with Nick Petrangelo so we didn't bother him for the details.

"You Got Me Good!"

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Jean-Noel Thorel
Jean-Noel Thorel

Action folded around to Jean-Noel Thorel in the small blind and he casually limped in for 2,400. Big blind Charlie Carrel asked how much Thorel was playing approximately and pushed all in when he heard it was about 60,000. Thorel snap called!

"Ah! You got me! You got me good!" Carrel exclaimed with a huge smile upon being shown {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Carrel himself had just {A-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and was in trouble.

"I know you" Thorel said, while just about everyone in the tournament started laughing.

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Thorel doubled his 61,700-stack.

Thorel Getting Shorter, Doubles Badziakouski

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Mikita Badziakouski raised to 5,000 under the gun and his neighbor Jean-Noel Thorel called. Vladimir Troyanovskiy in the big blind called as well and checked on {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Badziakouski bet 5,000 and Thorel moved all in. Troyanovskiy folded, Badziakouski called.

Mikita Badziakouski: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Jean-Noel Thorel: {Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The {K-Clubs} on the turn and {J-Hearts} on the river did not help Thorel and he parted ways with an extra 35,700 of his stack.

Carrel Doubles

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

On a flop of {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}, we saw Mikita Badziakouski (hijack) check. Jean-Noel Thorel (cutoff) bet 20,000 and Charlie Carrel (button) shoved for 54,500. Badziakouski folded, Thorel called.

Thorel had the {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts} while Carrel had one better with the {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. The {A-Spades} on the turn and {Q-Diamonds} on the river were blanks and Carrel doubled.
