Norbert Szecsi Eliminated in 5th Place (73,470)

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Norbert Szecsi
Norbert Szecsi

Norbert Szecsi raised to 115,000 from the cutoff and left himself with around 30,000 behind. Dietrich Fast raised to 200,000 from the button and after the rest of the players got out of the way Szecsi called.

Norbert Szecsi: {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Dietrich Fast: {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Board: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

For the second time this level, Szecsi had run his ace hand into a dominated position against Fast and this time he needed help to survive.

Fast improved to two pair on the flop, and after the turn {k-Diamonds} and river {8-Clubs} had fallen, the German had secured the pot and sent Szecsi to the rail in 5th place for 73,470.

Dietrich Fast: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Board: {10-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Pavel Plesuv

Tsugunari Toma moved all in for 494,000. It folded to Pavel Plesuv in the small blind who thought for a moment before calling. Dietrich Fast open-folded {8-}{8-} in the big blind.

Tsugunari Toma: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}
Pavel Plesuv: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The jack on the {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop gave Toma top pair. The turn was the {7-Spades} and the river {9-Diamonds} gave Toma the pot. The dealer counted Plesuv's stack and it was exactly 494,000 and he was eliminated.

Sergi Reixach Eliminated; Money Bubble Bursts

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Sergi Reixach
Sergi Reixach

Chip leader Corentin Ropert raised to 40,000 from early position and saw Tsugunari Toma, in middle position, and Sergi Reixach, in the big blind call.

The flop fell {4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, and Reixach checked before Ropert bet 60,000. Toma folded, and Reixach gave himself 20 seconds to think before he moved all in for around 200,000 which Ropert snap-called.

Sergi Reixach: {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Corentin Ropert: {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}

Both players held top pair, but Ropert was ahead with his king kicker. Reixach was in danger of bubbling the money spaces unless he could improve on the turn or river, but the cards fell {7-Hearts} {6-Clubs} and Reixach was confirmed as the 7th place finisher.

The remaining six players are now all in the money and guaranteed at least 57,140.

The flop came {8-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Plesuv check-called 40,000. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and Plesuv again check-called, this time for 140,000.

The river was the {k-Clubs} and both players checked.

Plesuv turned over {6-Spades}{7-Spades} for a missed straight draw, with Ropert taking the pot down with {10-Spades}{9-Spades} for just ten-high. This pot also moved Ropert up over one million in chips.

Addamo Doubles Through Carrel

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Addamo checked on the {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop and Carrel continuation bet for 33,000. Addamo started to think and needed to use a timebank card before he raised to 66,000. Quite quickly Carrel moved all in, and Addamo called.

Charlie Carrel: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Michael Addamo: {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Addamo was ahead with two pair, and Carrel needed to improve to eliminate the Australian.

However, the turn {5-Spades} and river {2-Hearts} were no good to Carrel, and he had to sacrifice 207,000 from his stack, leaving the Brit with just 110,000.
