Sammartino got through with a jam once while Chobineh and Orpen Kisacikoglu stayed at the top of the counts.

Orpen Kisacikoglu scooped a pot against Michael Soyza in a battle of the blinds and next it was Goran Mandic in the big blind. Kai Lehto raised to 50,000 and Mandic checked his stack carefully before tossing in calling chips, leaving himself with just 180,000 behind. On the flop, Mandic checked and folded to a 45,000-bet of Lehto.
