Davies Getting His Money's Worth

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On his third bullet of the day, Seth Davies will have to finish sixth or better in order to make it a profitable day...and he's on the road to doing just that. After winning a big pot against Isaac Haxton earlier, Davies was back at it again.

Erik Seidel opened to 16,000 from under the gun and Davies three-bet to 45,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Seidel four-bet shoved all in for just over 200,000. Davies quickly called and tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}.

"Shit," Seidel said as he turned over {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. The rest of the table laughed but it was no joking matter when the flop came {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. The {4-Hearts} on the turn gave Davies a flush and Seidel was drawing dead to the {q-Clubs} on the river.

With that pot, Davies currently has the runaway chip lead with nearly four times the tournament average.

Leow and Yong are Cooked

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Richard Yong
Richard Yong

At one table, Ivan Leow pushed all in for around 100,000 in the cutoff and was called by Sam Greenwood. Leow tabled {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts} but ran into the {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} of Greenwood. Despite hitting a queen on the flop, Leow was unable to improve any further and was sent to the rail.

Next door, Michael Soyza raised to 13,000 from early position and Richard Yong shipped all in for around 80,000 in the small blind. Soyza called and tabled {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} against Yong's {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} to give Yong a straight and flush draw but he was unable to hit on the {3-Clubs} turn and {7-Diamonds} river.

Four-Way All-In; Nobody Busts

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Matthias Eibinger
Matthias Eibinger

Isaac Haxton raised to 18,000 from the cutoff and Matthias Eibinger shoved for 104,000 on the button. Richard Yong looked at his cards and decided to also shove. Seth Davies was sitting in the big blind and after glancing at his hole cards, he asked for a count. Yong was all-in for 134,000. Davies responded with a shove himself. Haxton asked how much Davies had behind and Davies confirmed it was 448,000 in total. Haxton took a few seconds and then decided to make the call, having all three of his opponents covered.

Matthias Eibinger: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Richard Yong: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Seth Davies: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Isaac Haxton: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The flop came {3-Hearts}{k-Spades}{5-Hearts} to now put Yong in front of the rest as he hit a pair of kings.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds} to not change things much except for giving Eibinger a gutshot to a straight.

The river completed the board with the {4-Hearts} to give Eibinger the straight indeed.

After paying Eibinger the 104,000, Yong had the next best hand and was paid the 30,000 he had left by Davies and Haxton.

After Yong was paid, it was Davies' turn as he had the better hand than Haxton and was left with 314,000 which he would double through Haxton, leaving Haxton behind with just under ten big blinds.

Adams Won't Pull Off the Back-to-Back

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Michael Soyza opened to 13,000 from under the gun and Timothy Adams three-bet jammed all in for just over 80,000 in the hijack. The action folded back to Soyza who instantly called and Adams was at risk.

Michael Soyza: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Timothy Adams: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{j-Spades} and Soyza's pocket kings held up. Adams, who won the 25k Single-Day High Roller last night, will not be around for the money today.

O'Dwyer Doubles Through Eibinger

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Steve O'Dywer was all-in for 133,000 from the small blind and was called by Matthias Eibinger in the big blind with the bigger stack.

Steve O'Dwyer: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Matthias Eibinger: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

The flop came {2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} to give Eibinger two pair but also provide O'Dwyer with a straight draw.

The turn was the {q-Diamonds} to give O'Dwyer the straight indeed. Only another king or jack could endanger O'Dywer's double-up but the river completed the board with the {a-Diamonds} for O'Dwyer to confirm the double-up.

Brotherly Battle

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Sam Greenwood raised to 13,000 in the cutoff and was called by his brother Luc Greenwood in the small blind and Wai Leong Chan in the big blind. The flop came {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and the action checked around to the {9-Hearts} on the turn.

Luc led out for 20,000 which got Chan to fold but Sam called. The river was the {8-Clubs} and Luc dropped in a small bet of 12,000. Sam called and Luc turned over {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} to claim the pot.
