Diaz Loses a Big One
Level 11
: 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
On the flop, the action checked to Rudolf Domin on the button and he made it 6,500 to go. Defending champion Guillaume Diaz called, as did Bruno Caron from one seat over. The same then happened on the turn for 18,000 and the fell on the river.
Diaz checked and Caron bet 45,000. Domin reluctantly folded and Diaz was sent into a world of pain. He was trying to get any reaction from Caron, who was hiding his face with the hands. Sergio Castelluccio called the clock after more than three minutes and Diaz mentioned in chat he had an ace.
Three seconds remained on his 30 seconds clock when Diaz made the call and Caron rolled over for a set of aces. Domin said he had two pair with a king and Diaz replied "I had an ace, ace deuce of diamonds."
