10,300 EPT High Roller
Day 3 Started
The final day of the 2019 PokerStars EPT Prague festival is about to get underway as the 2019 poker calendar begins to close out its season before the holidays. There will be 17 players returning to their seats in the 10,000 EPT High Roller but only one will come out on top in this 255-entry tournament.
After two days and 20 levels of poker, Simon Lofberg is currently leading the way with an impressive stack of 2,205,000 chips. Lofberg was the only player to crack the 2 million chip mark on Day 2 but his work isn't finished yet. Lofberg is in search of his largest career live tournament score but the competition will be tough when the cards go back in the air. Masato Yokosawa (1,685,000), George Wolff (1,115,000), and Yunye Lu (1,085,000) are the only other players with a seven-figure chip count.
There are plenty of others to keep an eye on moving forward including Gianluca Speranza (720,000), Matthias Eibinger (605,000), Ludovic Geilich (675,000), and Rainer Kempe (505,000). Sam Greenwood, Daniel Dvoress, and Tsugunari Toma are on the short stacks but they each have plenty of high-roller experience so don't count them out either.

Each player will receive additional time extensions to begin the day as well as at the final table.
There is still plenty of money up for grabs as the day unfolds with the remaining players having already locked up 32,900. There will be significant pay jumps throughout the day with the winner taking home a cool 523,120.

On an eye-catching flop Yunye Lu checked out of the big blind and Kemal Aslan bet 50,000 on the button. Aslan check-raised to 125,000 and Aslan used a time extension before re-raising to 280,000.
Lu called and the pair checked the turn. The river was the and Lu bet 100,000. Aslan called and the Chinese player turned over for flopped quads.

Ludovic Geilich was under the gun and raised to 45,000, prompting action to fold around to Sam Greenwood in the big blind. Greenwood looked down at his hand and then looked over to the other table. He used up his shot clock and tossed in an extension, picking up the rest of his cards and fanning them out to count them. He proceeded to use every extension as play continued on the adjacent table and then went all in for his last few big blinds once he could wait no longer. Geilich quickly called.
Sam Greenwood:
Ludovic Geilich:
"I have a really good hand," said Greenwood as he turned over his hand, happy that he had not been dealt two rags in the big blind with such a short stack. However, he was still behind and his odds only deteriorated from there as the flop came . He said that maybe a club would come on the turn, but instead it fell to give Geilich aces up and leave Greenwood drawing dead.
Geilich's hand was tabled barely in front of him in the two-seat so he took it and tossed it a little further out towards the middle of the table as the river fell to complete the runout with his two pair being displayed as the best hand, ending Greenwood's run at a second High Roller title for the series in the process.

Arsenii Karmatckii opened to 40,000 from under the gun and Simon Lofberg three-bet to 120,000 on his left. Masato Yokosawa was next to act and used a time extension before sliding out a four-bet to 320,000. The action folded back to Karmatckii who used two of his own time extensions before pushing out a five-bet for nearly all of his chips. Lofberg folded and Yokosawa announced all in which Karmatckii called.
Arsenii Karmatckii:
Masato Yokosawa:
The flop of provided a small sweat but the on the turn ensured the two players would chop the pot. The insignificant completed the board and they each took their chips back.

Yunye Lu opened to 45,000 in middle position and was called by Simon Pedersen in the hijack. The next two players folded to put action on Fahredin Mustafov in the small blind and he came along as well, as did Gianluca Speranza in the big blind to take postflop action four ways.
The flop came and action checked to Pedersen, who was last to act among the four. He put out a bet of 65,000 and received a fold from Mustafov, a call from Speranza, and a fold from Lu.
Action was then heads up for the turn and Speranza checked again. Pedersen thought for a few moments and then announced a bet of 160,000, and Speranza quickly sent his cards to the muck to result in Pedersen's turn bet earning him the pot.
