Mrakes Trying to Ladder
Michal Mrakes sat under the gun with just 58,000 which is just slightly over two big blinds. He was tanking because there were 40 players remaining with a pay jump of 1,000 looming if one more player was eliminated. Mrakes took his time under the gun until the clock was called on him. He waited and waited some more until one second was left and he raised to 50,000 with 8,000 behind.
It folded to [Removed:102] in the cutoff and he three-bet all in for 578,000. It quickly folded to Mrakes and he took his time again. Jose Quintas asked after about a minute how long Mrakes was allowed to think for and the floorman who was standing at the table replied that he had as long as he wanted until someone called the clock.
The clock was eventually called on him by Clement Richez and Mrakes waited until he had one second left before calling.
Mrakes was behind with against the of Apicella-Albertini. The board ran out and Mrakes was eliminated from the tournament.
He ended up taking 40th place worth 6,015 while all other players are guaranteed 7,100.
