Mulder Raises River on Pardo

Level 16 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Action was picked up on the river as the board was completed to read {j-Spades}{k-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Juan Pardo bet 115,000 over to Teun Mulder who took the 30 seconds before he tossed out some chips for a rais to about 250,000.

Pardo swiftly folded and Mulder moved himself over the million chip mark.

Petrangelo Doubles Through Mulder

Level 16 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

The action commenced with a raise to 42,000 by Teun Mulder and Nick Petrangelo was somewhat amused. "You give Wushu a discount but not me? That's fucked up," he joked and then defended the big blind. After the {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop, Petrangelo check-called all-in for 45,000 to create the following showdown.

Nick Petrangelo: {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Teun Mulder: {k-Hearts}{4-Spades}

Petrangelo needed a diamond or running cards to avoid the elimination and instantly got there with the {5-Diamonds} turn, which made the {10-Spades} river a formality.

Muehloecker Eliminated on the Bubble

Level 16 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Thomas Muehloecker
Thomas Muehloecker

Teun Mulder raised to 32,000 and Thomas Muehloecker defended the big blind with just 27,000 behind, having already invested nearly half of his stack due to the big blind and big blind ante. The flop brought {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Muehloecker called all-in when Mulder splashed in several T-25,000 chips.

Thomas Muehloecker: {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Teun Mulder: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}

The {4-Spades} turn provided no help to the Austrian and the {a-Hearts} river only improved Muehloecker to let the bubble burst.

Two Birds With One Stone For Mulder

Level 16 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Teun Mulder

After several orbits of jams without calls there was some action to shake the cobwebs as from early position, Sirzat Hissou jammed for 160,000. Chris Brewer called from the hijack. Teun Mulder re-jammed his larger stack from the button and Brewer called off the rest of his.

Sirzat Hissou: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Chris Brewer: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Teun Mulder: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Hissou and Brewer were at risk as the flop came {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Hearts} to put them both deep in a hole. The turn was the {9-Spades} and the river came the {9-Diamonds} to bust both players and give Mulder a big pot as the field went on to the stone bubble.

Pardo Applies Pressure on Ruan

Level 15 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Ole Schemion raised it up to 24,000 and was called by Juan Pardo on the button, Zhuang Ruan also came along in the big blind as well. The flop fell {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and the action checked to Pardo and he bet 21,000, which was called only by Ruan. After the {9-Spades} turn, Ruan check-called for another 40,000 to then checked the {2-Diamonds} on the river.

Pardo now bet 250,000 to effectively give Ruan the option to fold or call all-in only. After investing four time bank extensions, Ruan opted to fold and dropped right into the pack of short stacks.

Petrangelo Gets Shorter

Level 14 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Nick Petrangelo raised to 20,000 and Ole Schemion then pushed all-in. "You have around 200?" Petrangelo asked and the push was indeed for 197,000, which proved to be too much for Petrangelo.

Shortly after, Teun Mulder opened to 20,000 and Petrangelo defended the big blind. Both checked the {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop and Petrangelo check-folded the {k-Hearts} turn when Mulder made it 30,000 to go.

Set Over Two Pair For Brewer

Level 14 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. There was a bet and a call as they saw the {a-Clubs} come on the turn. Both Chris Brewer and Teun Mulder players checked.

The river came the{4-Hearts}. From middle position, Brewer bet 111,000 which was for almost all of his stack. Mulder snap-called.

Brewer showed the {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} for a set of jacks which beat the {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} two pair of Mulder.
