Alexandridis Wins Bigger Pot Off Mulder

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Teun Mulder opened to 160,000 with the {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Armin Rezaei folded the {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} in the small blind. Symeon Alexandridis flat-called in the big blind with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and the flop brought {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Following the check of Alexandridis, Mulder continued for 175,000 and earned a call.

The {j-Hearts} followed on the turn and Alexandridis checked once more, which prompted a large bet worth 870,000 by Mulder and the call by Alexandridis. They headed to the {3-Hearts} river on which Alexandridis used a time bank and bet 1,000,000 with 1,980,000 behind.

Mulder went deep into the tank and invested several time banks while weighing his options. He then sent the cards into the muck and Alexandridis vaulted into second place.
