Debregeas Finds an Unlikely (Near) Quintuple-Up

Level 17 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Thanisorn Saelor opened to 8,000 from early position and Igor Picone called in middle position, while the button and small blind also called. Loic Debregeas then three-bet jammed for slightly more from the big blind to put the action back on Saelor.

"I can raise?" Saelor asked the dealer, who confirmed that he could raise over Debregeas' short-stack shove.

"Yes! You can jam!" goaded Debregeas, who wanted to see a runout against as few opponents as possible.

Saelor four-bet jammed a stack of 85,000 and Picone then five-bet re-shoved to get the button and small blind to fold.

Loic Debregeas: {k-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Thanisorn Saelor: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Igor Picone: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

Debregeas was quite behind but got some hope from the flop of {5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}. The {5-Clubs} on the turn then improved him to trips and the {k-Spades} river gave him a full house for good measure as he secured the unlikely near quintuple-up. Meanwhile, a side pot went to Saelor.
