Peters Finds Luck To Stay Alive

Level 1 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
David Peters
David Peters

Mikita Badziakouski opened the action to 2,500 from the cutoff. It folded to David Peters in the small blind who three-bet to 8,000. Badziakouski elected to move all in and Peters made the call for his last 33,000.

David Peters: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Mikita Badziakouski: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Peters was in rough shape against the ace-king of Badziakouski but when the board ran out {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, it was trip tens that gave Peters a full double up.

It's Time For The 50,000 Single-Day High Roller I

Juan Pardo
Juan Pardo

Just one day after the 25,000 Single-Day High Roller I, it is now time for the 50,000 Single-Day High Roller I to take place here at the PokerStars and Barcelona?Casino European Poker Tour. This event will be action packed as the best in the world will battle it out for EPT glory.

In 2019 , this event was won by Juan Pardo, who went for back-to-back wins in single-day high rollers to take down both the 25,000 High Roller and this prestigious event.

When this event last took place in 2019, there were a total of 76 entries including 24 reentries generating a prize pool of 3,686,760. There will be an unlimited number of reentries to the players today and that could spur even more action and create an even larger prize pool than before.

The cards will go in the air at approximately 12:30 p.m. local time with each player receiving a starting stack of 100,000 chips. The blinds will begin at 500/1,000 with a big blind ante of 1,000 and the levels will be 30 minutes in length.

There will be a 20-minute break after the first four levels and then switch to a 15-minute break after every three levels. The 75-minute dinner break is scheduled after 10 levels of play and late registration will remain open until the end of Level 10. As with all high rollers, players will receive eight time bank cards before play, seven cards on Level 1, six cards on Levels 2 & 3, five cards on Levels 4 & 5, and four cards on Level 6 & higher.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the tournament floor to bring you all of the up-to-date action from the start until a winner is crowned.
