Ferreira Pulling Away

Level 33 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Rui Ferreira
Rui Ferreira

Rui Ferreira raised to 600,000 on the button and was called by Laszlo Molnar in the big blind.

On the {4-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop, Molnar check-called a bet of 500,000 from Ferreira.

The turn brought the {k-Diamonds} and after Molnar checked again, Ferreira sized up to 1,200,000. Molnar again made the call, leaving himself 5,000,000 behind.

On the {3-Spades} river, both players checked. Molnar first showed {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a pair of fives, but Ferreira turned over {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} for the winner.

A couple of hands later, Ferreira took more from Molnar as he called Molnar's small blind raise to 900,000 in the big blind, then called a 400,000 chip bet on a {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} flop.

The players checked the {2-Clubs} turn, then on the {10-Spades} river, Molnar led for 600,000, but was raised to 1,200,000 by Ferreira.

Molnar folded to send more chips across the table as he is now on the short stack three-handed.
