The first High Roller contest of the 2022 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) presented by Monte-Carlo Casino? at the Monte-Carlo Sporting complex will play down to a winner today. It was a very promising start for the return of Europe's premier live poker tour to the French Riviera after a three year hiatus and a field of 71 entries has emerged thus far in Event #4 10,200 Mystery Bounty, of which 50 players remain for the final day.

Thanks to a short-lived first day, the late registration remains open for another two levels when the action gets back underway as of 12.30 pm local time in the America's Room. All those who have been eliminated just once or new participants can enter and the only player no longer eligible to join again is Andras Nemeth, as he has exhausted the maximum of two entries already.

Ben Heath leads the pack with a stack of 404,500 and he is followed by Luciano De Hollanda (340,500), Sergi Reixach (300,500), and Sam Greenwood (277,000). Also among the overnight top ten are the likes of Alex Kulev, Timothy Adams, and Boris Kolev.

The tournament also features the latest craze in the world of poker, the Mystery Bounty format. From the 10,200 buy-in, 4,700 will go towards the cash prize pool while 5,000 are allocated to the bounty prize pool. All Mystery Bounties will be calculated once the registration closes and they come into play when the event has reached the money stages.

The contenders still in contention when the cash bubble has burst will receive a Mystery Bounty token. For each opponent eliminated, the winner will collect the respective token and can then draw an envelope to determine their bounty prize.

With a cash prize pool of 333,700, the Mystery Bounties will play a pivotal role on the business end of the tournament and you can follow along right here on PokerNews as the live reporting team will be there until the final hand has been dealt.
