Cooler Flop Sends Shimizu to the Rail

Level 5 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Nozomu Shimizu
Nozomu Shimizu

With about 10,000 in the middle, the flop read 8?6?4?, and Nozomu Shimizu was seen getting his last 15,000 into the middle against Elias Gutierrez.

Nozomu Shimizu: 6?4?
Elias Gutierrez: 8?8?

It was a nasty flop for Shimizu as his bottom two pair ran into top set leaving him drawing thin. The 6? fell on the turn, giving him an out for quads as he laughed and pointed at the six. The 5? river was close but wasn't what he needed as he stood up from the table.

The action is joined on the flop of A?Q?J?, with Ihor Hula making it 11,000 from the small blind and getting called by Fahredin Mustafov in the cutoff.

Hula led out for 30,000 on the 8? turn and was again called.

The Ukrainian shoved the 3? river and was snap-called by Mustafov, who turned over 10?9? for a straight. Hula tabled A?Q? having flopped two pair, but it wasn't enough as he was sent to the rail.

On another table, Gab Yong Kim was also eliminated from the tournament.

Enrico Camosci

Enrico Camosci opened 4,000 in the hijack, and Andras Nemeth defended the big blind.

Both players checked to the K?Q?9?J? turn, where Nemeth check-called a bet of 3,000.

The 10? completed the board, putting a straight to the king on the board, and Nemeth checked for a final time. Camosci flung a 5,000 chip into the middle, and after some consideration, Nemeth called.

Camosci showed A?7? rivering Broadway, and Nemeth mucked his hand.

O'Dwyer Gone Again

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Toni Kaukua, on his first hand after having been moved to this table, raised to 5,000 from the hijack. Steve O'Dwyer then three-bet jammed for 51,500 chips from the cutoff, and the action folded to Elias Gutierrez in the big blind.

He tanked for a while before putting in a flat-call. Kaukua quickly folded his hand, which caused the other two players to show down.

Steve O'Dwyer: K?J?
Elias Gutierrez: A?10?

Only low cards arrived on the 3?6?8?7?8? board, meaning that Gutierrez's ace eliminated O'Dwyer, who hit the rail for the second time today.

Daubaris Busts Zarghami with Top Two

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Deividas Daubaris
Deividas Daubaris

Emad Zarghami opened from early position to 5,500 and got called by Deividas Daubaris in the small blind.

After it checked to him, Zarghami led out for 5,000 on the 5?A?4? flop and got called.

A J? hit the turn, and the Lithuanian checked it again to Zarghami, who made it 12,500. Daubaris raised to 28,000, but Zarghami made the call.

The 2? completed the board and Daubaris shoved all in, having his opponent covered. The Australian used up four time banks while deciding whether or not to call for his tournament life - with around 100,000 chips left. He eventually did call and saw the bad news, with Daubaris' A?J? beating his A?Q?.

Nemeth Grabs Huge Lead in Battle of Big Stacks

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Andras Nemeth
Andras Nemeth

Deividas Daubaris raised to 5,500 from the button and Andras Nemeth defended his big blind. The 8?6?3? flop was then checked by Nemeth, after which Daubaris continued for 15,500. Nemeth made the call, and the 7? turn rolled off.

Daubaris fired 38,000 more after another check from Nemeth, and the latter called again. The 3? river graced the felt and Nemeth checked for a third time.

Daubaris opted for a bet of 85,000 chips, but this time Nemeth did not put in a call. Instead, he raised to 250,000. A long tank followed from Daubaris, sliding his time bank extensions forwards one by one.

Eventually, he tossed in one chip for a call.

"Straight," announced Nemeth as he tabled his 9?5?. Daubaris' cards quickly hit the muck, as his stack was diminished by a great amount. Meanwhile, Nemeth took a big lead over the rest of the field, sitting on more than 600,000 chips.

Aliaksei Boika
Aliaksei Boika

On a flop of 7?3?9?, Aliaksei Boika's stack of 40,000 went into the middle, being looked up by Andras Nemeth.

Aliaksei Boika: K?Q?
Andras Nemeth: A?A?

Nemeth was sitting on the rockets, while Boika still had outs with his flush draw. However, the 4?2? runout did not bring a spade on the felt, resulting in Boika's exit.

Meanwhile, Jean-Vincent Lehut paid a late-night visit to the tournament with a fresh stack of 100,000 chips.

Things Getting Heated in the €10,200

Level 9 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Fahredin Mustafov
Fahredin Mustafov

Mounir Tajiou opened 7,000 under the gun before Fahredin Mustafov three-bet 20,000. The action was back on Tajiou who asked Mustafov if he had about 130,000 behind.

Mustafov responded with a confrontational "Are you blind?" as he stared him down.

Tajiou seemed dumbfounded by the response and asked for the floor to listen.

Tajiou claimed he could not tell the difference between the blue and green chips, so the floor let him know which were which. While still deciding on his option he said, "I don't know why you're so upset."

Mustafov responded with a very blunt, "Because I do not like you."

"That much was obvious," Tajiou replied.

After a few more seconds of back-and-forth, Tajiou announced all-in, and Mustafov snap-called his stack of 173,500.

Fahredin Mustafov: A?K?
Mounir Tajiou: 9?9?

It was a classic flip as the board ran out Q?5?5?K?5?, giving Mustafov fives full of kings to double through Tajiou.

"Now I like you," Mustafov joked as he pulled in the pot.

Tajiou reached out and gave Mustafov a fist pump as the dealer shipped the pot.

Level 9 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Jean-Vincent Lehut
Jean-Vincent Lehut

Jean-Vincent Lehut had just joined the action a few hands prior and was involved quickly on the Q?8?7? flop when he check-called a bet of 13,000 from his only opponent in the hand, Nozomu Shimizu.

The 3? fell on the turn, and both players checked to the 8? river. Lehut jammed all-in for 66,000, and Shimizu took a few moments before making the call.

Lehut tabled 8?8? for quad eights, which got a chuckle out of Shimizu who showed 10?7?.

Only a few moments later, Shimizu was seen walking out of the tournament area.
