Timmer Says No Mas
Level 24
: Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
After a stretch of eight straight hands without a flop at Table 3, business picked up in a big way as after Nick Palma opened to 60,000 from the button, Oscar Mas moved all in for 460,000 from the small blind.
Javey Timmer was in the big blind and asked for a count. He used a time bank and then moved all in for just under two million.
Palma quickly folded and Mas was at risk.
Oscar Mas: 7?7?
Javey Timmer: A?A?
"They say it's always coming seven in Barcelona," commented Palma before the dealer spread the flop which indeed came as he predicted, falling 8?7?4?.
Mas was in cruise control until the A? fell on the turn gave Timmer a set of aces to regain the lead.
The 10? completed the board and Mas was eliminated in heartbreaking fashion.
